Want to start with sculpting: 3D Coat vs Z-Brush

Hello,

I want to start maybe this year getting into sculpting.

Besides Blender I also evaluate 3D Coat and zBrush.
While zBrush would be logical choice, I'm struggling because of Maxon :bad:.

One of the big benefits of zBrush seems to be, that you are getting a lot of great brushes in the VDM format. According to my research 3D Coat is not supporting VDM brushes yet. This would mean I could not use a lot of pretty good brushes.

Is there a way of getting zBrush VDM brushes into 3D Coat without owning zBrush?

I use also Substance and even on the offical Adobe youtube workshop for skin painting they recommend using zBrush for baking the normals for the face.

Is normal baking in 3D Coat similar as good as with zBrush or is something where zBrush is also unbeatable?
