Advanced Member vivi Posted September 28, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted September 28, 2010 I have created a curve object..or lets say a spaceship like Tinker. Do I have to convert it to something, why can't i use standard deform brushes? I can only edit using lasso or rectancle, but no brushes, why? Jeez I know the answer is very simple...but learning a new software can be a pain in the a** sometimes vito
Psmith
Vito: When creating a curves object, with the "Curve" tool listed in the Voxel Tools menu, (left side of screen), you have to press "Enter" to make it an actual voxel object. This is the same principle for using Primitives, or Greebles or any Merged object - hit "Enter" to make everything convert to voxels. After this, pressing "E" gives you the "Selection" tools palette - make sure you are selecting one of the brush shaped icons on the left. Also, you need to select a voxel tool that makes use of Brushes, (or Pens), to see any effect on your object. Try using "Airbrush" or "Extrude" or "Clay". Make sure that "Depth" is set to some positive number like 40, or something, too. Give it a try. Greg Smith
