Member vladius Posted September 27, 2016 Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 (edited) I would like to run a bumped profile over the tube in the direction of smaller green lines on the picture. More specifically I want 3 lines to run over the exterior part of the tube. How can I achieve that? I tried the Pose tool but it showed itself really buggy to use. Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted September 27, 2016 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 What build are you using? On 4.7.10, it is working properly on my end. Sometimes the Options.XML file gets corrupted, and exhibits bug like behavior. So, you might try to close 3D Coat > delete it (MyDocs/3D Coat 4.7) > install latest build and test it on another model. Also, you mentioned the same issue in another thread. Freeze selections don't work with the Pose tool, as the Pose tool affects only what you have selected. Using freeze selections would be redundant.
Member vladius Posted September 27, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2016 Not that it doesn't work. That would actually be tolerable, but it just corrupts the freeze indication. More specific description is in this bug report: http://3dcoat.com/mantis/view.php?id=2198 I'm using 4.7.10 here and multi-selected Pose tool was a disaster: http://3dcoat.com/mantis/view.php?id=2196 and this also http://3dcoat.com/mantis/view.php?id=2195 Anyways, what would be your approach in accomplishing this task? I would humbly try to reproduce your recommendation.
