As for Shift key, it would be great to fix viewport while rotating, like in Z-brush. I just fall in love with this feature, really miss this in 3D-Coat.
Btw, isnt it time come to save "show symmetry plane" and render settings in user prefs? (And retopo "mirror snaping" value in scene)

Wow! Fantastic!
You could make 2-3 high detailed feathers of diferent types, than merge them on the wings, bending with pose tool. As for feathers, you can assemble them from thin planes, it will be like hairs groups. Damn, he is going to become just great!

Im going to make exact new retopo, and bake normal map, than make texture.
Btw, Woohoo! I just replaced my old laggy 7600GT with new shiny GTX 275.
Fantastic performance! This model barely rotated half hidden now just flying. I didnt try CUDA yet, but going to check it out

And i descovered i work with mouse not less than tablet, so it would be great to have acess to mouse buttons, 4 and 5.
All modern 3d programs allow to use them. Even conservative enough C4D use mouse 4 and 5 buttons by default.
Full hotkeys customization is like business card of program - it shows that software respect its users.

- Ignore backface ON/OFF option in "Pose tool - border selection"
Save lot of time removing undesirable mask parts on heavy objects
(mask intersections memory and time consuming)
- More effective splines in "draw by closed spline" mode.
B-splines much, much effective in combination of round and straight lines

Oh, im very sorry. I thought i should use "mark seams" _after_ model appear in UV tab, but i have to mark them before.

Ok, i presed wrong buton. But how to move model from retopo window to UV window. Im confused bcos in alpha version there was buton for that. If i press "unwrap" there some calculations and nothing in UV tab.

Some work on bottom and back left and than topology and texturing.
I didnt use any reference images, just invented it on the go. Love 3D-Coat's freedom to make spontaneous designs.

To be honor, at the same time i have C4D open, making there greebles, very simple hard edged details. Then adding them to voxel stamps folder and using to cut and add to model. I discovered true power of boolean operations. Thing, that in classical 3d all skilled users avoid, flourish in voxel scene
You can easy use any 3d program for greebles, like Blender or Silo, all you need - only basic 3d functions, like extrude and vertexes move.
It would be great to have them directly in 3D-Coat of couse..

Fantastic!! Its so easy now to make objects more natural and organic looking.
It would be definitly great to use Pose tool "select by pen" with mask too. Some masking and scale - very fast hard edge detail for mechanic objects. Could you add it, please? It would be outstanding!

But its symmetry buggy!
P.S. When you use border first time, pose manipulator starts from 10,10,20 rotated diagonal direction. Imho its not very good idea for everyday work. Beter 0,0,0 oriented x or y.
Im sorry interrupt You with such insignificant things, but please dont think such things not important. It's usability.

New merge manipulator much, much beter, thank you!
But if you Undo after merging, parameters of merged object lost. Could you please make voxel stamp remember its position/rotation/scale after undo. It would be very useful bcos not every merge succeed. You may need move it, or increase resolution, change layer etc.

Bug: Retopo mode, "Points&faces" tool (my favourite). When using it, rotating viewport actively, undesirable polygons appear on the model, connecting existing vertexes. It happens regularly, please fix it.
