  2. OK well I tried the instructions, and it didn't work, I cant see why, a couple of the commands needed sudo etc, any ideas?
  3. Hi 3D coaters, just got the Linux demo, but i cant find any installation instructions, I haven't used Linux in a few years so I'm a bit rusty, I'm on Ubuntu 18.10 desktop so I'm assuming you can install a file with apt-get but it doesn't want to work for me. Regards Brett
  4. TBart, I'm looking at the same thing, there's a $40 fee for a Win to Linux license, I havent looked at the EULA for a while but from memory you can install 3D Coat on a work PC and a Home PC, so I guess it's cool to install it on 2 PC's aslong as you're not using 3d coat on both at the same time, ideal for me because I have a new PC which is constantly being used to render so I just jump on the old one to keep going on something else, but check it out for yourself, dont quote me. WIN LINUX LICENSE FEE Morgs
  5. Hey Ken, sorry to hear about your drive failure, I had 2x seagate drives fail about a year ago, 2nd one was a replacement for the 1st one anyways I have used this method before to save data, throw your drive in a vacuum sealable bag and put it in the freezer for about 20 minutes, trust me it has worked for me before, enough to get atleast your most valuable data onto another drive, I lost 18 months work of personal work before and it hurts, usually I'm fastidious about backing up work but... Good luck Morgs
