Little progress on the robot. Currently working on two scenes
(upper and lower parts) for the data was too fat for my pc.
This guy wouldn't walk... Anyway he's used to explore
ocean on Deneb 42

BeatKitano > Wow! The alien is really cool.
I like the dynamic pose and the slightly rough parts that remains.
ajz3d > Nice render on you Xmas decoration!
Happy new year!
-
Cool! Lets roast it! Yum
-
Yep. But there is surely faster ways (that I didn't try...).
Here's the current looks of the robot:

Looks like the chocolate I had for Xmas
Very smooth and nice curves on your fox model.
I hope the 3d print will be OK!
-
Oh, that's a sad news.
It seems a bit extreme to erase all.
I liked his "on the edge" attempts a lot.
Well, people come, people go...
At least I see a new Antique statue lover here!
Merry Christmas to you all from Japan.
-
David, Tony Nemo,
Merry Christmas to you!

So I have to go on a diet
Thanks for the explanation.
Michalis is a 3dCoat community member.
You should have a look at his work.
He tried a lot of techniques about sculpture
that sometimes other people can't imagine.
Looking forward to seeing your next work.

Baby Hulk, Alligator cartoon character (they used to play this one on french TV too)
and Hell boy are great!
I bet it will be hard to chose a winner.
I'll try to save some time to participate to future contests, but may be
in February...
-
Oh, interesting.
Some technology used to get 3d visuals from ground topology
in the early time, right?
Is it made all in 3dc?
I'd try with my own portrait if I wasn't too fat
I like your medusa avatar pic too.
Remembers me of Michalis work a bit.
-
Nice! But what is a Photogram?
-
Tanks Alvodr!
It's all a lazy guy work.
Nothing special in the way it is made.
No special tool used, just boolean.
Here are few pics of the robot:

Thanks Wave of light! I was happy to see your Lancaster once more. That was a great one.
Hope you'll find time to make others like that.
Ben Grimm is cool too, especially for the facial expressions that must be very tricky (Blend shapes?).
I didn't found your 2D works on your website except rough sketches for Fabio the frog.
Same for me; it is difficult to show stuff made for other companies, but a least most of the time
it's OK to show pictures after the release.
Looking forward to seeing your new works.
-
Wave of light > I'd be happy to see your 2D work too. I have to see your Ben Grimm; I didn't see the
final result. It's on your Wip thread, or finish work thread?
Yes, we can't complain if we have a job to feed the kids. Sure. The amount of work
at my company is just crazy though. Twelve hours a day is just too much for me.
I learned to say "NO!"
Take care.
Elowan > Hello there! Yep, but it is a Photoshop made "chromatic aberration" and just a test
for the moment. I've moved the red channel from one pixel to get that. There's no
special render at all.
Digman > It is just made of primitives in the voxel room. Boolean work only so far.
It's funny to combine primitive shapes to get more complicated model parts.
I could have used a set of mecha parts from 3dc website, but wanted to control more modeling
from the start. See you!

I'm fine. But my Dad passed away.
Everybody has to experience this one day. Well, almost everybody.
But this kind of topic has nothing to do on 3DC forums.
I just wanted people I like here to know that, if I stopped posting
for a while, it had nothing to do with something I would dislike about
3dCoat community. In fact, if I had more time, I'd spend it all sculpting and testing
new tools all day long
How are you doing in England Rick?
I bet it is better than what people are experiencing in France right now.
F.Hollande is such a P***k!
Have you got new stuff to show?
-
Little progress on the old fashion robot.
Arms, spine and legs left.

Hello there.
Long time not see!
I've been through a lot of sad times,
but back for new works with 3dCoat.
This thread is becoming messy. It's probably better to delete old pages.
For now, just a quick snapshot of a new sculpt:

Ha ha! Like the place way you used the logo on the first shot

Carlosan,
Sorry mate. That was about 10 years ago in a french company (We weren't very serious at this time even at work),
and I have no idea of what was the engine named.
We got this kind of funny sentences with the engine:
"My uncle vomit a clown in the forest at night"
With the one given in the link you mentioned, I don't get a sentence but just random words:
"undersea nomadic magnificent egg blunt alternate"
Rather poetic though Kind of Beatles song lyrics like
-
Same as Artman and other forum mates. Not enough time to participate.
But each time I think "That would be fun".
Giving free keys to unlock high level training video
as a reward could be another motivation to get involved.
In my former company we used a "word engine" to chose the thema of the comp.
That was kind of cadavre exquis like and quite fun.
-
That's great work, and fast!
I didn't imagine him with an human like colored skin.
It's really well done though. Like the smiley too! haha
-
Leigh,
I found thirty minutes to tweak the specular on the stormtroopers.
I finally made the change in Photoshop. Couldn't find the good values
in Marmoset to match with the scene...
Thanks for the advice!
-
Really nice character.
I don't know why, but I think he's got a kind of egyptian style.
May be watched too much Sc-Fi movies.
-
Ha ha. You trapped me.
Making the specular stronger with the image based light I use
make the scenery awful. I gave up to changed it this time.
Something to work on, on the next attempt with mecha.

Hi Carlosan!
Are you competing for the robot contest?
----------------------------------------------------------------
Strange... The pictures don't seem to be displayed on my previous post.
Probably my bad connection.
