  1. Thanks! I wish I could train like that more often.

There's still crappy things on the final shot (there's some weird artifacts in the reflections).

It's a pity I don't find time to give a shot to the challenges.

That would be fun, for sure, and motivating to work with other people of the community.

May be when the company project ends in a few months...

  2. I made a simple scene for the characters.

Didn't manage to control perfectly the reflections on the ground,

but I'll call this one done.

I wonder if I can put this in the "achieved work" gallery for I didn't

    use the official 3dCoat logo...

  3. Funny the gap between the item and the env you used.

But the lighting is really nice. Is it a pic from a set of probe light stuff?

Good work anyway. Too bad we can't see the weapon owner :D

I'm looking forward to seeing your next 3D work.

  4. Artman, Methelina, TimmyZDesign,

Thanks! It's not perfect. The legs lines are not beautiful

and makes him look slightly fat. But I made little improvement

on the rig, which is not my strong point, so let be happy with it after all.

It is rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 2.0. I'm thinking of adjusting

the render a bit after building a little scene for the stormtroopers.

  5. Hey Beat! Long time not see!

How's your wrist? My shoulder is sour...

Thanks a lot for the link about ngSkinTools.

    That look really good.

I'm really thankful for this information, I probably wouldn't have

found it by myself. And there's only few people arround

me at work who talk seriously about technique.

    Much appreciated!

    Cheers

  6. Oh yes! I remember this corridor. It the place where they find Leia before

jumping into polyester like garbage with weird alien snake :)

Thanks Wave of light! Something simple like that could do the trick.

May be it's not too long to do with modular kit parts.

  7. Thanks for the kind words! It will give me the energy to go further in doing something with this character.

It's a real mess at work, but I'll try to find time to put this guy in a scene, with a nice pose.

Need to build a Sci-Fi like corridor to get proper env map for image based lighting too...

  8. Well, that's just a way to keep the whole balance of the character.

Sometimes when you get too early in details with one part without

knowing precisely what will be other parts, it's tricky to re-ajust

    each body-part shapes afterwards.

It's just a way to gain time, not "the best way" at all.

    Cheers
