Great video Digman :  Just to be sure when in the Retopo Room >  High_poly  is  S [1X] VOLUME 5    and  over on right side under RetopoGroup 1       Low Poly is    Volume 5 _copy000  .  these 2 must be highlighted when baking?   Also just wondering what is/why is there the   Volume5   layer in the PPP room ?  why 3dc adds that meaning is it the high poly being named the same ,or its just  a extra/new blank layer to work in?

Just wondering if your geometry is a object that you picked/choose (a 3dcoat premade) at the splash screen >Paint (per-pixel) then from the paint room tried sculpt room.? or is it a obj.  imported in from another program?  also When in sculpt room  with the disappearing object go up to View > click on  show poly object in sculpt room   just wondering if that lets you see it is all.

  3. so you vox hide a area then did some work along the seam ? or this is showing up when you hold ctrl and unhide that area  talking that it is raised up that little bit.  I have the same build 4.5.03  win 8.1 and tried to reproduce could not. I did get a rough edge like you had when did smooth out where they meet but just increased res once to smooth out or Resample to increase as needed.

  4. 1ST I would save what you have then you could try in sculpt room  VOX TREE  then where your mesh is under that   Right Click  brings up a long menu  up near the top  is  To Global Space   and /or To Uniform Space  im not sure what the difference is betwwen the two try clicking on one of them  .(  if it in red on the bottom  NON Uniform )  this will clear that up.  I am not 100% sure on this hope it helps.

Also on the Preview Options  panel  under where it says   More   Tiling    hidden/auto/shown     under those  check if it says   From Camera   or    Cube Mapping  /   From  Camera you will always see your stencil   /  Cube Mapping  you will see it on your model  under brush  ..   next to that is what % you want to see of it ..  there are also other options in that tab  UV,Sphere etc   .  I am a year in with this program and the more I use it the more I love it. 

  6. Just wondering on Cycles in Blender. The best set up I could find seams to be  the Roughness / Metalness  work flow   with  Save Glossiness as normal map Alpha Channel .  In Blender  color map to Glossy BSDF (0.050)   that to a Mix node . and the alpha normal map to the FAC. of that mix node . for a metal looking obj. Ill try and post shots.   also in 3dc Render have to add Gamma (2.5) then render out  to look same as in blender.

  7. watching the Vox Layer tutorial  he has the football player arm and in the  E panel  chooses  closed spline  then draws spline across the arm around the whole/backside also . I am only getting 1/2 front of the arm.  I can not figure how he marks through the back side of the model to get that full band around it ?   I do have ignore backfaces on  also tried  it off.. in Voxel s  mode also. 

     

         I am using 4.5.03  now when I try too close the spline on last green square  it just disappears . I  am using the Closed Spline  in the  E panel   mmmm

     

      Ok I had  Depth Limit  on  turned that off also  now all works   thanks for the answers it   was driving me crazy.

  8. thanks Blondie my eyes can relax again ( 50 and over club)  that white is just to bright . The site does look more professional but I liked the pilgway home schooled kinda look .  hopefully  I wont have to keep logging in .I hate typing.

  9. 3dcoat has a new web layout/look .?  just want to make sure of this as I would of thought a announcement would of been posted is all thought it might of got hacked redirected . its day one but I liked the old one better already. The home page has no green in it as this color I associate with 3Dc  the Logo  3DCOAT is blocky text  the A  looks kinda like a R . As I didn't see the reg Logo I was suspicious.  For me the white background and blue text in the furon  is thumbs down .    just my opinion  change is a good thing.       green is the new blue :(      

  10. I want to have the blob tool have more thickness when conn/done.  I can not find where this is done ? I think up in header the  On_Plane  box   and then the  Plane OPT.  which I can not find info on this section. sculpt room using voxel .4.5.03

  11. Hey deff if you are in the paint room up top middle theres a x over a blue ball  click that as to remove the x  and make depth to paint also..  or are you in the sculpt room  if there up top see  Depth box  see if its at 0 (zero)

  12. Buy them all what a Bogart   lol   take 2-3 out of each list and sell it as a   Starter Kit 101 .  I don't have Substance yet but its on my x-mas list . Really great that your doing well on these materials that in itself is a lot of man hours you have in them . :) Worth every penny.
