  1. Hey, Pretty noob to 3d coat, so sorry if this is obvious..... Painting the underside of the mesh is very difficult if you also need to see Normal map Info or just lighting in general. There doesn't seem to be a way to easily & quickly flip the model to allow easier access to the underside. The problem is that it's just too dark. I can use the flat shaded view.... but my painting needs to follow the normal info. which isn't visible in flat shaded mode obviously. I can increase the overall light intensity but that just seems to blow out all the colours and makes them not representative of the final texture at all. I can go to the tweak room and rotate and then come back... but that's not really ideal at all. the ambient light setting seems to do nothing in this view. otherwise that would be a workaround of sorts., ideally there would be quick rotation tools in the paint room or a way to rotate the environment map on more than 1 axis. Are there any work arounds that people use? any help would be greatly appreciated. cheers
  2. Where? I can't see any link to a manual in anyone's sig. I found a link to a pdf for 4.0 which is kinda like a manual... well, it's a lot better than the terrible online one anyway. Did the online one change recently? as in all the videos i see, when they refer to the online manual it actually looks like a proper, useful resource. Anyway... here's hoping for a proper up-to-date manual sometime...
  3. Hey, So, I'm trying the free trial and reading through teh manual i downloaded from the website. on page 54 it talks about the hide Voxel tool. ' The tool also has a few other functions, which you will find in the Voxel menu. They are listed as follows:' Where is this Voxel menu? I have looked everywhere and it's nowhere to be seen. and can't find the tools anywhere ( Unhide all, Seperate hidden part) just a note: The manual could really do with some work. As a new user but experienced 3D artist, it's really frustrating to read through the manual that references menu's but then doesn't tell you where they are. It's happened about 4 times now and I'm only on page 54. It's like the manual is written for someone who already knows the program. Really loving the program so far tho . on th elook out for a new 3D app as I'm sick of Zbrush, this is currently 100 times better than Mudbox already. cheers
