yeah.  not necessarily flatter, but sharp where it's supposed to be sharper and well defined curves where there should be curves.  Like sports cars.

You have the most imortant part down which is a good and appealing design in terms of volumes and proportion.  The next part is getting it fully realized with more specific shapes.

i see . ok thx for that. i wanted rounder feel to it with no sharp angles. but u r right, i need well defined curves where there should be curves.  Like sports cars.

Very cool shapes...It's a bit loose.

I'd love to see it tightened up.  I bet it would look good if you used this a basis for a low poly retopo.  Then reimport the retopo mesh for further sculpting.

what do you mean loose? do you mean flatter and sharper?

  3. how can i group parts like zbrush does with its poygroups ,and still be in the same object group in 3d coat. instead of making separate objects. so i can work on seperate parts of the specific object and wont have to change level groups all the time. would save lots of time if i didnt have to keep changing objects. also the parts would then be one object but able to select different separate parts on that object. i could also place a certain part of an object into a different object layer.

  4. when are you guys gonna get real artists involved in the videos. to show good looking sculpts in the videos. the sculpts done up to now make the software look cheap and unable to produce good sculpts. hire some good artist from the gallery. i seen some truly great stuff  there.

  5. 3d coat was intended to be a program that would have the capabilities to make modeling a better experience. and as such should include what ever is necessary to be better. it already replaces certain programs. in fact 3d coat replaces some programs out there.. or is it just another half measure clone. improve it or lose it!

  6. Yeah this was also a problem in Maya. They finally extended the pick range on the manipulator handles by a few extra pixels in Maya 2016 Extension 2 (just announced last week). It's amazing that this was such a long standing problem in an expensive professional program like Maya! Lol!

Anyways it'd be nice if we got this in 3D-Coat too!

it may take just as long in 3d coat if certain ppl are in charge. ppl that complain rather than ppl that do.

  7. Hi do lo.

Could you explain which are exactly the differences you found making mask in ZB vs 3DC ?

And let me again suggest you to read this article, is very informative and nice reading

i guess you have to work in  zbrush and 3d coat both to know what i mean. if not then your questions will never be answerable to your satisfaction. you have to be someone that can tell the difference of masking in both programs.
