  1. Ok, so things will start to get exciting be for me, if this is doable. I guess there are many approaches to this. I could even just sculpt it by hand, but I much prefer precision, being the science guy I am. First of all, well, come to think of it, my wish/idea is almost like Lathe/Primitive function/thingie.... but with an additional plane... Well, I'd like to be able to extrude curves that are not just 2D/flat, but actually GO OUT IN SPACE (wooo), you know, 3D curves..... and then extrude them.... I still haven't explored the extrusion possibilities of 3DC, but Sketchup has some amazing ones, which allows one to extrude curves in numerous ways.... Made a explanatory vid for this: Thanks for any suggestions guys.... I guess Blender could do this too?
  2. Oh yeah (I do)... will check into that symmetrical copy thing
  3. My brush is bright green and regular/default smooth brush and I get this..... Any suggestions? Cheers, P
  4. Yeah this is increadibly, shall I say frustrating man. Been trying to get a simple (but you know, precise) mirror of an object for like 45 mins now Wish the engine was more Sketchup like, where you move everything around by exact points... this is more of a guess work, and placing the gizmo where I want it to be is also a bit tedious as well...
  5. Right... only 4GB RAM here.... Fun PC though (Lenovo), as it has no usual desktop/box... its just a flat monitor ....
  6. huh? So can you use in imported eps/curve instead of those red spheres as a guideline for the objects? Or at least the native curves..... It would way much more precise....
  7. How high do you guys generally go? Anything about 2 mil is really unworkable for me.....
  8. Fantastic! Cheers!!! Yeah Gary, thats a goodie for sure...
  9. Sketchup has a kickass feature, where you may bind prev and next keys and cycle between views (whether its a Camera rotation, Zoomimg or Pan movement), it stores 5 (which is enough/fine) It incredibly quickens the whole workflow... very useful..... So yeah.... my request... Cheers, Peter
  10. He was called Hermes Trismegistos in ancient Greece though.... Araleich Chiquitet Vomalites in Atlantis..... He was a pompous, boasting little bugger...
  11. So yeah, I am mindblowed by how are all these guys are able to produce such fine looking imagery, when my corners are so incredibly pixely? Thing is, the brushes are/look pixely themselves.... so raising res+ does not make a difference.... I really hope this is not the way things are meant to look in 3D Coat... Hopefully someone will give me some hope and shed some light on this.. Cheers, P
  12. yeah saw that.... it would really rule if one could use EPS curves instead of those red cube/native curves
  13. Hi Yesterday, I was able to create things with just drawing anywhere on an empty plane, hit ENTER and it created the object (with a Round, Sharp, or a Plane border).. Right now, nothing happens.... wonder why is that? Cheers, P
  14. Yeah.... Actually just watched that. But yeah, applying my lines/curves to a curved surface... well that would be just bombastic...... a dream come true
  15. and also, how would you apply that shape onto a [curved] surface?
  16. Hi there No luck searching on how to create these! I saw someone dragging an item from the Voxtree into the Splines palette, I am not able to do this at all though.... Thanks in advance Peace, Peter
  17. Hey guys. I'm an artist [http://omargonashvili.tumblr.com/] painter/sculptor, totally obsessed with everything art.... into ancient egyptian philosophy and whatnot (Imhotep 4 eva), musician,.,, etc.... Would absolutely love to have more peeps in my circles into the same stuff..... and obviously, someone who might help me out on my journey/exploration of 3D Coat... I am a master of Sketchup (which now kind of sounds silly and so so 2005) but whatever.... I learn quickly and intend to master 3D Coat also..... and utilize its PHENOMENAL, GET OUT OF HERE, OUT OF THIS WORLD functionality. Its a beast of a programme!!! So yeah, hit me up on FB or gmail if you wish....
