Hi Carlosan,
I tried that but all it did was generate 4 .tga files. I don't really need to get rid of the underscores in the PNG files. Blender reads it in correctly so I'm happy. It is now a smooth rpocess thanks to all your help here. Very much appreciate all of your help. Thank you again.

Opening 3D Coat as Administrator solved the importing of textures with the FBX. Thanks Carlosan.
