  1. Whenever I use the 'import multiple objects' command (for example with a character from zbrush), the results are extremely low-poly....like just a few triangles show up.  It seems like the layers it creates don't have enough resolution, but I don't know how to solve this.  If I import the objects one at a time, it's fine, but I have a lot of pieces and would like to do it in one go. Am I missing something?

  2. Is it just me or does anyone else find the time it takes to switch tools a little long?  It takes about a second...but I seem to remember in earlier builds it happening much quicker, almost instantly.  It makes working with sticky keys kind of slow.   I wonder if there is a setting somewhere we can adjust?   I'm using version .34

  3. just to follow up on this...

    - This issue still persists in .32

    - deleting options.xml solves it, but it re-occurs after some time while modeling.

    - EDIT -> RESET SETTINGS also solves it, but again it pops back up again after a bit.

    - It doesn't seem to matter if symmetry is turned on or not.

    - It happens most with the Cut Off tool, and also with the Vox Hide tool.  This might just be coincidence though, since I use those tools often.

  4. this happens a lot.  After performing an undo sometimes the voxel mesh will get some square 'holes' in it.  When that happens you are basically screwed unless you've saved recently or have an autosave handy.  I've found no way to fix the mesh when this happens.    Is this a known bug?  I'm using .30, but it's been happening over many versions.

  5. I've ran into a weird bug with the selection tool.  It seems as soon as I invoke symmetry, the lasso and polygonal lasso selection tools don't work (see the attached video). I'm pressing the mouse button, but no green line shows up.

I've tested this with .23, .22, and .20....this issue does not exist for me in .20 so for now I've downgraded.  I've also tried re-installing .23 but the issue is still there.

Axial tool is DESIGNED to replicate the object(s) on a layer, not a bunch of different layers. If you want to use this tool to replicated a bunch of different objects at once, then merge them (or copies of them) to the same layer.

yeah, that's the current state of things.

  7. ah I see.  It's a good idea - unfortunately I don't have a touch ring on my cintiq.  I wonder if the touchstrip could be mapped like this.

*edit*  yep, it can be mapped to the touchstrip, but it rotates so slowly as to be pretty useless.

Oh well, perhaps Andrew will look at adding rotational stylus support in a future update.

Sure, you can. Just set one level to 9 and the other to 0. Good idea. I hadn't thought to do that, but it's a good idea. The Intuos Pro has a middle button that would let you toggle between that and the brush scale.

Sorry for my dumbness....what do you mean by 'one level to 9 and the other to 0'?   What are you setting?    Thanks for the reply!

  9. Is it possible to have symmetrical movement when using the transform tool?  For example I have two pieces of geometry on either side of a mirror plane....I want to rotate each one 45 degrees independently (mirrored) of eachother....you can't do that right now.  You need to use the pose tool, select the geo and then rotate it.    I wish there was an option to toggle this,  it would be a good quality of life change. if there is an option I can't find it.
