  1. I didn't know where to post this, but I wanted you all to know about the smooth tool having a lot of lag in 4.7.27. I opened the same project in version 4.7.20 and the smoothing tool works just fine there. Something to fix. Btw I love the new baking method with the removal of the spheres of influence. Good change!
  2. Nevermind! I figured it out! When I pasted my saved jpeg file that 3d coat generated, I neglected to scale it to 8000x4000 before pasting it onto Jama Jurabaev's template photo.
  3. Is anybody else having this problem while painting a 360 photo? It looks fine in 3d coat, but when I upload it to facebook there is this nasty crease.
  4. When I attatch the file and send the email, I receive an email back saying that my message has been blocked by support@3dcoat.com : "The response from the remote server was: 552 5.3.4 Message size exceeds fixed limit"
  5. I installed the latest version off the website 4.7.20. It crashes whenever I try to bake it. When I switch mapping to "auto mapping" it kiiiinda works, giving me this.
  6. Hey everyone. I'm having this issue of not being able to bake. Every time it crashes. Is there something I'm missing?
  7. I'm trying to use the separate tool, but when I do it causes the faces to disappear rather than separate to a new retopo layer. It seems to be only happening in this file and I'm not sure why.
  8. So I'm moving the spheres around and look at this. It seems maybe the spheres are helping by removing patches, but also adding some back in. Look at that curved black patch.
  9. Yes sir. I redid the retopo for the hood, unwrapped, baked, spheres, and this is what I'm given
  10. Alright so I'm still getting black holes in my mesh even though the spheres all seem to be in appropriate places... Any other suggestions?
  11. I've run into this problem multiple times where I've been working with the spheres of influence, and for reasons such as shutting down for the day, or the program crashing, I lose all of my spheres and I need to start that process completely over. It's just whenever the program is shut down. Is there some way that can be saved even when the program is closed?
  12. I'll try that. Also I'm curious why the checkered pattern fades away completely at some parts of the mesh? Is that okay?
  13. Hello again XD I need help! Why are there black patches over my normal mesh? I used the spheres of influence correctly didn't I? What's going on? (We're only looking within the red box)
  14. My suggestion worked temporarily, so I tried moving all uvs to one and that fixed it... I think..
  15. Yes definitely. Just delete the entire old mesh, and keep the new cloned layer. If you have this issue, you should be good to go!
  16. Well I don't know WHY it was happening, but I have a solution. If you select all faces on that retopo mesh with the "select all faces of this layer" button within the retopo menu, clone it with the "clone" tool on the left panel, and hit enter, you will be given a copy that behaves just how it should.
  17. so it turns out it's not a seam issue, it's something else entirely. If (1) I delete a face, (2) add it back in, it becomes a different color than the retopo around it. But if I (3) make that retopo layer invisible, the who thing disappears.. What's going on? :P
  18. I'm looking in the UV preview, and I'm not seeing the full hood, only the skinny purple strip..
  19. Hmmm I clicked on "hood_01", which is the hood retopo where I'm having the issue, and the seam still won't delete...
  20. Hello friends! I'm having this issue of not being able to delete seams on my mesh... And I never even intentionally placed them. Do you see that skinny purple strip? I don't want that to be its own island, but I can't get it to disappear using ctl left click on the seam
  21. lol strange.. I already tried that five times, but trying it after your suggestion makes it work now. :P Thanks!
  22. Please read my message again. Downloading the latest version is what caused my problem.
