[Loading 2D texture?]

Hi,

I just downloaded the trial version and seems this soft is really interesting!

It is possible to load a 2D texture (from any 2D software like gimp/paint/photoshop) to use it to paint a surface with this texture? I tried many functions in 3d-Brush but nothing to do that or i do not find it or it doesn't work with me..? I want to try to paint a surface with a wood texture...
