  1. atm im trying to find good ways to model nice Eyes... whats your approach in that way ? Using an eyeball (sphere) and model around it ? or any different techniques ?
  2. Hi 3dCoat Community, I just bought 3DCoat and i am very impressed and have fun playing around with it. This is my first attempt in sculpting some head-like cartoon thingy. took me about 7 hours so far. (This is my first Human-like Head, so thats why i am going cartoonish, i dont have the feeling for real, good proportions of a real head ) As i come from Car Visualisation, it is great to try some different stuff. I used Voxels for the basic shape and switched pretty soon to LiveClay/Surface Mode. 3DCoat seems to be really great, and i hope to find time in future to do a lot with it. I will refine it the next few days and hope to show some more stuff. Maybe even some renderings when i get the mesh to my rendering software.... greets, maxwater
  3. i had the same problem... that "show beta tools" was the solution in my case
  4. OK.. i found out... when i open a new MVP document with selecting the Plane directly in only can go up to 2048x2048. When opening a complete new scene and goto file->import and import one of my own objects i can select resolution up to 8192x8192. strange.. but there seems to be a solution. thx for your help.
  5. Nope. I bought 2 Pro Licenses. ( the 249$ discount till 31th december ) in Pixel Paint i can go up to 16K textures but in MVP my highest is 2048. I need MVP because i need "real" displacement while painting. Or is there maybe a better workflow. i am completely new. thx in advance.
  6. Hi all, im a 3dcoat-Newbie and struggling with some parts of it. How can i change the texture resolution in microvertex-paint mode ? When i create a new file with a simple Plane in MVP Mode i can choose up to 2048x2048. Id like to go higher. Is there a way to increase the resolution ? Is maybe Ptex the better choice ? How can i open up a new document in PTex Mode ? (Only way i found is via retopo -> Autopo for Ptex ) Thx for your help, maxwater
  7. philnolan3d, thx a lot for your answer. so i have to wait.
  8. Hi all, im am very interested in that new paint over Voxel Feature which should be availiable in 3.7.02C (which i got ) what do i have to do ? i created an object in voxel-modeling clicked on that layer icon to be in vox-surface mode.... but now.. how can i apply color to that object still being in vox-modeling mode. when i switch to the paint-room the vox object just disappears .. help would be very nice.. is there a tutorial about that online ? greets, maxwatet
