Member EricM Posted October 25, 2013 Member Report Share Posted October 25, 2013 I am trying to hollow out a head. I've got my cavity dug out, but the interior surface is uneven. I was attempting to fill the scapes my brush left when I noticed all the detail on the other side of my model was being filled as well. Is there a way to lock a tool to the visible side you are working on?
Contributor BeatKitano Posted October 25, 2013 Contributor Report Share Posted October 25, 2013 In the e-panel (E key by default), press ignore backfaces.
Member EricM Posted October 25, 2013 Author Member Report Share Posted October 25, 2013 That option is selected. Does the thinness of my model make a difference?
Contributor BeatKitano Posted October 25, 2013 Contributor Report Share Posted October 25, 2013 Is it voxel or surface, if it's voxel you can't do anything about it only increase resolution (and I highly encourage you to go to surface mode instead if you want to make a nice sculpt). If it's surface you need to adjust both side to avoid intersection and the software can't help you with that, that's part of the job
