New Member GeorgeZ Posted February 23, 2015 New Member Report Share Posted February 23, 2015 Hello! Here is my rig - GeForce GTX 970 + i7 + 12Gb Ram + Win 8.1 (64) + 3D Coat 4.5.BETA12A(CUDA)(DX64) When i working, i can hear whistle from videocard power elements, because of very hi frame rate (700-1000 fps) Temperature is perfect, so cooling fans not even working, but hi-fps issue is occur (this is common issue for GeForce 9xx series, and may be other series). Usually, nobody cares about it, because there is no necessity in more than 60/120/144 (it depends) frame rate. For me, i don't need more than 60 fps, because 60 is my monitor maximum. Usually, i use Vsync (Vertical Synchronization) or FPS-limit. Vsync, as you know, synchronize video card data with display refresh rate and therefore fps (which videocard provided) can't be higher than display maximum fps (generally 60 fps, in rare cases 120/144). But it seems to be that Vsync doesn't work with 3D Coat 4.5. I've forced vsync in Nvidia Control Panel to ON and nothing happened, fps remains very hi (700-1000) and whistle-issue, of course, remains too How can I limit 3d Coat fps or how can i use vsync with 3d Coat?
