Advanced Member The Candy-floss Kid Posted October 25, 2009 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 25, 2009 As mac users are not habituated in the habit of right mouse clicks it would be fantastic to have 3D coat come with the default of having the apple cmnd key depressed in combination with left click function as a right mouse click. As a mac user this simple addition would make an enormous difference I feel. Many thanks

Or better yet, check out the new multi-touch mouse! that thing looks AWESOME! And if you use a wacom with multiple side buttons, you could always assign the side buttons to MMB and RMB... It is a huge slow-down, IMHO to have to use extra keys to simulate MMB and RMB... especially since CMD+MMB and CMD+RMB are already navigations... I'm not saying you are wrong to want this, just offering up an alternative that you MAY be able to use

I just had a thought... it'd be cool if Andrew could add the RMB, MMB, and LMB to the list of "EVENTS" then you could customize any key really to function as that button... Member Bo Atkinson Posted November 2, 2009 Member Report Share Posted November 2, 2009 On Mac OSX you can very simply hold down the CTL key and mouse click on anything to get the same effect as Right Click... So it seems to me, but i prefer a 4 button track ball, myself, (much more accurate for a non-pen or non-pencil type of person).

Thanks Bo , I realize I'll just have to get more used to my 3 button mouse which I rarely use. Using 3D coat will get me more in the habit of it I'm sure. I was hoping that Andrew might implement the use of the apple command key for the right click in future updates.

Absolutely - this is what I was hoping for. Just a pen in my right hand and my left hand on the keys.
