Advanced Member michalis Posted October 4, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 Right Rich_art, welcome to the club. very very nice. Watch out for symmetry snapping in the middle. You could avoid this six star. But its ok.
Advanced Member Rich_Art Posted October 4, 2010 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 4, 2010 thanks. Yeah I noticed the nasty 6star as well. O well, back to the retopo room and do some clean up. Time to UV unwrap it. I'll give 3DCoat a try. Normally I use UVLayout for uv unwrapping. Thanks for the comment. Peace, Rich_Art. Advanced Member michalis Posted October 6, 2010 Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 Nice one. Cute I could say. I hope he-she- it is friendly, looks like. I could work on eyes some more. More natural. And around them, maybe. Now how can you do some changes there without having to go back to voxels-retopo-UV s -baking process? I mean its OK now, but just for practice, what's the best workflow here?
Advanced Member Rich_Art Posted October 6, 2010 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 Thanks. I start a new project. So this one I called finished. It was just a quick test to learn the tools. The eyes are not good indeed. Peace, Rich_Art.
Psmith
Rich: I find the fur interesting. How did you do it? Also, how much did you make use of AUTOPO? How much manual editing did you have to do to the mesh? Greg
Advanced Member Rich_Art Posted October 6, 2010 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted October 6, 2010 Thanks.. The fur is made with the hair module from Cinema4D..(my main 3D application) The best 3D hair I know of. Easy and renders very fast. Link to Maxon's hair info Image LINK The retopo I did manually. I have to play more with auto-retopo to get a good mesh. Peace, Rich_Art.
