Member Mr_Nitro Posted December 23, 2010 Member Report Share Posted December 23, 2010 Hi, I probably do something wrong, but it happens that some layers when exported using Export Object to obj files outputs the geometry scaled up or in strange position/rotation. I tried to cut&clone to a new layer or to use the 'to global space' .. but no luck. Whats wrong?? thanks mrn
Psmith
Mr_Nitro: Unfortunately, there are no "inter-application" standards regarding scale and position. For that matter, there are no "inter-application" standards for "normal" X,Y and Z coordinates, either. So, everything, when exporting to external apps, is a matter of trial and error. You have to learn what works and what doesn't. Greg Smith
Contributor Tony Nemo Posted December 24, 2010 Contributor Report Share Posted December 24, 2010 I also noted when I exported from Retopo in obj format, that I had numerous 'unwelded' vertices that created new Edges in the UV room when re-imported. I checked Retopo menus for a 'weld' command for coincident vertices but could find none.
