Member dragon Posted January 14, 2012 Member Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 When I try to open 3D-CoatDX, I get the error: "The programm can't start because d3dx9_38.dll is missing from your computer." Now, I tried reinstalling the software but it doesn't work. Any ideas how to fix this? dragon
Advanced Member johnnycore Posted January 14, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 Have you tried installing DirectX from the 3DCoat download page?

Member John Kearney Posted January 14, 2012 Member Report Share Posted January 14, 2012 It's quite a common issue with a lot of programs. Just put d3dx9_38.dll into Google and you should find plenty of places to download it. Put it in your Windows\System32 directory (not sure if it's the same on Win7 as I'm on XP) and you should be good to go.
