Member sojos Posted January 25, 2012 Member Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 Hello, can I move vertices to a defined position (along the xyz-axis)? I have a refence model in the retopo room. This model have holes which have to be closed in the retopo model, but with the snap-feature the vertice is always on a normal (the wrong normal which is visible through the hole) thanx andre
Reputable Contributor AbnRanger Posted January 25, 2012 Reputable Contributor Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 You can always temporarily disable the snapping if it presents a problem for you along the way. Just uncheck AUTOSNAP at the top of the UI. Also, you can use the SELECT tool > check which subobject type you want to work with at the top of the UI > make your selection > click on the TRANSFORM button in the tool pallet (a tool panel will pop up and you can check LOCAL orientation if needed). You can use numeric values if you like or manually move it. As a matter of fact, you don't really need to even fool with Snapping (toggle on or off) if you are going to use the Transform tool. It disables snapping while active. Once you have made the transform operation, just hit the ESC key to drop the tool.
