Member sande Posted February 8, 2012 Member Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 A proper retopo mesh preview in retopo room would be very helpful. With "proper preview" I mean being able to quickly and easily see your retopo mesh without the underlying highpoly mesh, with and especially without the wireframe and with a solid mesh - preferably optionally with and without smoothing and with a color of your own choosing.Currently you can hide the underlying highpoly mesh with hide subtool, but then you are left with partly transparent retopo mesh with visible wireframe, which is not very good when you are trying to make out silhouette and forms. There are many useful sounding view settings (like wireframe, smooth/flat shading) in the view-menu on top, but none of them seem to work with that retopo mesh.In best case scenario, this preview could be quickly enabled with a keyshortcut, so that the user could easily and effortlessly switch to preview, check out the silhouette, and then switch back while doing the retopo. Having an option to change color of the mesh would be useful with this too - user could then, for example, view an all white mesh against black background and easily see silhouette and whether the lowpoly mesh has enough polygons.Currently the lack of preview hinders the retopo process and doesn't lead to optimal results. 0001713: Mesh preview in retopo room
