UV unwrap help

Do you want all layers on one UV map or do you want to create different sets to put them on? You can create new sets in the drop list box in the upper left hand corner. To the right of it is another drop list box where you can move selected islands to another UV set.

There is a little grid like icon at the bottom of the layer panel. You can click on that to make a fast selection of all poly's on that layer. You can create a UV set for it and then choose that new UV set from the droplist to the right of that. If you move them before all your retopo work is done, you'll only see the mesh for the currently selected UV set. So, If you have one set for the Head, one for the Torso, one for the Arms, and another for the legs, then move each one to their own UV set, you can only see which ever one is currently selected.
