UDIM (U Dimension) is a texture mapping workflow that spreads a single high-resolution UV map across multiple image tiles, allowing for extremely detailed textures on complex 3D models without using one massive, impractical file, commonly used in VFX and animation. It works by organizing UVs into a grid of "tiles" (e.g., 1001, 1002, etc.), each holding a separate texture file, and is supported by many 3D software.

Although I’m not very familiar with UDIMs, after watching the video, I believe my bake should be using UDIMs, since I rename the mesh each time before baking. I’ll try the method shown in the video next and see if the issue still occurs. Thank you for your reply.

Hi Can you share the model to take a look ?

https://imgur.com/a/gWGk2Fl Whenever I bake ambient occlusion in 3dcoat specifically, I end up with these pixelated artifacts. This doesn't happen with Blender. Anyone have a clue how to avoid that? Or what's causing it? How do I get a cleaner bake? I bake onto models with a texel density of 4096x4096 usually, the screencap above is 2048x2048.  I'm self-taught and embarrassingly, I've run into this issue for quite awhile now... haven't had any luck figuring it out; I'm usually working on a deadline, so I've just been painting over it and moving on. Please help!!

source... Friction is a powerful, lightweight and cross-platform open-source 2D animation package, similar to Adobe Animate or After Effects. Friction is a fork of the now abandoned ENVE project(learn more) that is rapidly approaching the 1.0 milestone release. It has come a long way since being forked from ENVE and is showing a heck of a lot of promise.

Hello everyone, I am a new 3D Coat user and unfortunately I have a big problem. I looked for a solution in some forum threads, but I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for. I can’t find the Mask Extract or Freeze Extract function. I want to extract the masked area as a separate mesh. Could you please help me? Thanks a lot.

      Try deleting points

Thanks, the problem is it's a free floating edge and I cannot seem to select it. The black line below the Polygons.

You can delete edges primarily in the Retopo Room using the Tweak tools, specifically the Delete Edges tool or the Add/Split tool, where holding Ctrl deletes entire edge loops, while a single click deletes single edges, allowing for quick topology cleanup or reduction, often combined with tools like Collapse or Slide Edges.  This video demonstrates how to delete edges and edge loops in 3DCoat:
