      That's the issue. BLENDER broke their addon structure around 4.3 and every addon developer had to scramble to get their addons working again. The GitHub file helped partially, but Andrew had to re-write the addon to make it work fully. I had some troubles initially (build 2025.12), but after a fresh install of 3DCoat (2025.12) + Blender 4.5 + add 3DCoat and Blender to my system's firewall and antivirus exceptions list, it finally worked.

      I will ask ownership about some kind of recompense for Linux users who have had a license in the past year. They are very fair, so I think something worthwhile can be done.

      App isnt working. I can send from Blender paint, modify then get back. The textures appear but not the modifications. The .fbx model with the mods is sitting in the 3dc2blender/applinks folder. Its not being brought into blender but the textures are. I read others are having the same issue. In any case the applinks folder gets cluttered if you dont keep an eye on it. Should have an option to delete file contents on open in external app  from 3dcoat.  Nuff said. Just import-export works for me. The above info supplied is from 2022, blender has changed so has 3dcoat. I wont invest up grading to 2025.15 until app can work with other 3dcoat versions such as 2025.09.

      Hello! I have built, checked, and uploaded "3DCoat 2025.15" for Linux: https://pilgway.com/~sergyi/links-Linux.html But there is a nuance that we should consider. Several months ago, "3DCoat 2025" migrated from AngelScript to Python. 1. Windows: 3DCoat Visual Studio project links a static Python library. 3DCoat installer includes the Python scripts library as an archive. 3DCoat unzips the Python scripts library into the "Documents\3DCoat" folder on startup. 2. macOS: 3DCoat Xcode project links a dynamic Python library. Xcode copies the dynamic library into the executable bundle when building. 3DCoat DMG includes the Python scripts library as an archive. 3DCoat unzips the Python scripts library into the "Documents/3DCoat" folder on startup. 3. Linux: Python is not available as a downloadable package from the official Python site, as it is for Windows and macOS. Therefore, I am using Python 3.10 from my Linux PopOS. I was able to extract the Python dynamic library from the PopOS system and Python scripts library, and then include them in the 3DCoat archive. But 3DCoat cannot even run a simple one-line Python command with this configuration. Copilot AI, based on my description of the problem, says the issue is in the Python configuration, which I am unable to resolve. I have found that 3DCoat works when linking the project against system Python 3.10 without extracting and relocating it from the system. That was the way I built "3DCoat 2025.15". And this is the simplest, straightforward way to link 3DCoat with Python on Linux. But is such an external dependency in Python 3.10 a problem for you? Should I include Python 3.x in the 3DCoat package, as I did with the macOS package? Please run "3DCoat 2025.15" on your systems and report the results directly to my email: sergkryzh AT gmail DOT com

      Hello, Can somebody explain the final process to have the applink working in Blender 4.3 ?  I have the same problem as ozingerz, problem is simple : nothing shows up in 3DCoat when you click on send in Blender.  Help needed !  Thanks a lot

      You can fill by Surface Material (generally by UV map) from the Tool Options panel, but filling within a UV shell was never designed to work in the 3D Viewport. It makes more sense to use the 2D editor, where the UV shells/islands are more visible and accessible.
