  1. Ok, here's the deal. My character was modeled in a T Pose. To my ultimate chagrin, apparently that's taboo in the rigging world today (rigging is the bane of my existence I swear to God). I already painted the textures and did the UVs. I need to adjust the character's pose to make it an A Pose. Obviously, since this is 3d and nothing is ever simple, that means I have to redo all the UVs and Textures, right? Or is there a way to preserve the old textures and place them on the newly adjusted model?
  2. I get no feedback from 3dCoat. The program just gives me a blank scene. My FBX has multiple objects. I had got it to work before but not now. EDIT: changed to FBX version 2012 and it works.
  3. Hi. I am having a problem where I updated UVs on one object and I am trying to import the object to edit the textures. I deleted the old paint objects from my scene and Import the new objects but they don't show up.
  4. This isn't working for me. I select the UV map and I can't manipulate anything.
  5. I am still having trouble with this... I would just like to be able to rotate a single UV shell.
  6. Basically, how can I update the UVs but preserve all my layers without painting everything all over again?
  7. I got it to work, however it mutated one of the UVs on one of the eyes...
  8. I notice an "Import UVs" option but it is giving me the rejection error even though it's the exact same geometry just with the UVs changed. I'm stuck.
  9. I would prefer to be able to edit them in 3dCoat so I can preserve all my Layers as well.
  10. I am working on a mesh in another app that requires me to have the UVs aligned in a certain way. I changed the UVs but I had already painted on the old Mesh in 3dCoat. The project in 3dCoat has multiple meshes with multiple UV sets. If I edited the UVs in another app how can I change them in 3dcoat? Or can I just rotate the UVs in 3dcoat without having to change them in other apps? I am trying to get the UVs on my characters eyes to be aligned a certain way because in Maya I need to have the coordinates correct. It's hard to explain. How can I edit the UVs to make them align properly?
  11. This may sound very basic, but nowhere in the UI can I find a way to get the UV Texture Editor Window back. For some reason it does not show up in the Windows tab, and I cannot find any information on how to access it in the Help Manual. How do I get that window back? Other than resetting the UI to default that is.
  12. See Title. I cannot figure out how many different maps I need in order to view a character in Maya and make it look like how it does inside 3DCoat. I wish there was a more streamlined way to teach us this, it feels very random and unorganized.
