Member BlueKaiTheEnd Posted July 3, 2016 Member Report Share Posted July 3, 2016 Hello! I purchased 3D-Coat off of Steam a couple of days ago and so far have had a good experience with it. I'm still learning as I go with it though but still it yields a lot of potential. Anyway this cutting close but I'm also going to participate in the contest. I don't have a name for the vehicle right now but I'm modeling it with reference to the 1906 Stanely Steamer Vanderbilt and the 1913 Mercer Raceabout. **One thing I'm trying figure out with 3D-Coat is how to perform boolean cuts. I want to cut into the back section of my vehicle to insert the boiler there. Much appreciated :)! Member BlueKaiTheEnd Posted July 6, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 6, 2016 Added some bevel to the model and painted it. Think the paint needs a bit of work though. The blue paint on the body looks a bit odd.
Member BlueKaiTheEnd Posted July 7, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 7, 2016 I'd say i'm finished with the modeling phase. Added in head lights, exhaust pipes and internal components.
Member BlueKaiTheEnd Posted July 8, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Not exactly the result I had hoped for but I'll make due with these renders (for now). Everything was designed and rendered in 3D coat. Think I'll try rendering a scene in Blender to improve on the texture quality Edited July 8, 2016 by BlueKaiTheEnd
Member BlueKaiTheEnd Posted July 9, 2016 Author Member Report Share Posted July 9, 2016 Feeling more confident with these rendered images. Went back into 3D-Coat and created a simple 360 interior space for the vehicle. Everything here was rendered in 3D-Coat
