  1. Hello Sculpting friends. Today Sculpting restarts, with a new team. For now in Beta status. This is unfortunately necessary, because we could only aquire the forum uncomplete, a previous conversion of the forum software causes a complete image loss, the same problem happens with your avatars. Thats why we restart nearly from scratch. But there is also a positiv effect. The forum is completely cleaned and in its original condition, ecxept the pictures. We have changed many things. But take a look by yourself. www.sculpting.de Please read the announcements at the beginning. Your Sculpting Admin Team.
  2. Ok perhaps it is impossible in a direct way but maybe it could be possible with a trick, what about a dummy that projects the texture to the voxels. , but how can 3D Coat show us a solid objekt insteed of small voxels, if you render the voxelobjekt with 3D Coat , there you heve the possiblity to render it solid and not like a particle cloud. !?
  3. Hi . Haggi is programming a mental ray shader for the 3D Coat file. Take a look at German Mental Ray. http://forum.german-mentalray-wiki.info/vi...312934#p2312934 http://forum.german-mentalray-wiki.info/vi...03&start=90 And as you can see he makes good progress. But one big question is , how 3D Coat can definite the UV Coordinates in 3D Coat, and if there are UV Coordinates how can we use them, that we can put textures to the Voxelobject in Mental ray. Regards Seeda.
  4. Some of my reciepients wrote it befor, but i will write it too. I would be glad if the brushes would feel smooth like the brushes in Mudbox. Perhaps this is not he right description for you too understand what i mean, but try it by yourself the brushes in Mudbox a smooth and very accurate. So i dont have to write to much, i think this should describe exactely how I wish to handle the brushes.
  5. Thats bad, but its strange Mudbox can, but 3D Coat not !? It seams that my wacom is to old, i cant find this settings for older apps with wacom.
  6. Ok Ok but that means, to be happy with that problem ?
  7. Hi ! I am a littel bit angry about the sensebility of my wacom with 3D Coat. I tried to get a higher sensbility with my wacom , but it isnt possible. I tried the settings from 3D Coat and also the settings from my wacom. But it wasnt the same feeling like sculpting with mudbox, i miss the smooth handling like mudbox, i dont know why this is not possible in 3D coat, i tried really everything . Regards Seeda.
  8. Hi ! i made a little progress with my Bismarck bust. It is not to much, but the visual progress is really significant. Regards Seeda.
  9. Hi Friends ! Now my first Project with 3D Coat. Really Voxelsculpting is much more dificult than mudbox, but anyway i will get it !! Hope you like my first WIP. I Will show you the next progress. Regards Seeda. ( Who is fighting hard with Voxels)
  10. Wow could this been true ?! . Thanks to you that you will implement this feature. For Modeling i am using Rhino since 4 years. So this will be a perfect workflow in future. Modeling in Rhino, sculpting and retopology and 3D Painting in 3DC and Animation and Rendering in Max and Mental Ray. So keep on and please give us this feature as a present in the next update ( If this will cost a little bit, so what, tell me how much I will buy it )
  11. Hi ! Now I am a happy owner of this fantastic piece of software. Hope to learn al lot and getting good sculptings. This man will be my next project, the first with 3D Coat. This man is the old Kanzler from Germany F?rst Bismarck, he was the first leader on world who installs a socialnetwork for his nation. Regards Seeda.
  12. Hmm . Ok perhaps it is to much. I just tried to unwrap an external Object. I thought that this polycount is not to much. But its not a problem. Thanks.
  13. Hi , my third question. Today i tried to repair a baked shadowmap with 3D Coat. Ok no problem, export the OBJ from Max , import it in 3D Coat. Well first i set a new PSD File for Photoshop and put the shadowmap into this file and reimported it to 3D Coat. Ok now I saw the shadows on my object. And i also saw the damaged shadowareas on the object. Now i painted this areas with red and put the PSD back to Photoshop and painted this regionswith the correct colour. Now the same thing back to 3D Coat, and the shadowmap was repaired. But not 100 % because after i put this repaired Map to my Realtimeprogram ( Deltagen) i could see small seams. After analiazing the map with the original map i could see that the 3D Coat map is different to the original map, it seams that 3D Coat makes the map darker. Sorry i can not discribe this problem better. Is there a way to avoid this problem. If we could fix this problem, i can order this tool for our company. Would be very fine ! ( Because i want it at work too, for me i will by it too ) Regards Seeda. Just an idea, perhaps you can realize it. In this case ( see above) it would be a very very usefull tool if i could pick the colour on the object( With all the colourlayers). Because i cant see the region on my UV Map if its an extrem complicated UV. This would be a very fine function.
  14. Ok with CUDA its a little bit faster, but its really slow too.
  15. Hi ! At the moment i try the Trial from 3D Coat, and its an impressing program. WOW really good stuff. After i`ve learned to work with Retopology and 3D Layerpainting , i tried to lerarn the VOXELtool. Now I want to use the charakter i retopologized befor and i tried to merge or import this geometry. Well the object appears, but immediately after I tried to take some modelingtools, the object disapears !? I can do what ever I ant its all the time the same result. Regards Seeda.
