  3. Hi. I have just installed the latest drivers for my video card. Afterward, when I open 3dc my computer/display freezes and I have to restart my machine. Any ideas on how to remedy this? Here are the spec for my pc... Radeon Software Version - 15.12 Radeon Software Edition - Crimson Graphics Chipset - AMD Radeon R9 200 Series Memory Size - 3072 MB Memory Type - GDDR5 Core Clock - 1030 MHz Windows Version - Windows 10 System Memory - 16 GB CPU Type - AMD FX-9370 Eight-Core Processor Thanks-

  6. How about getting the programmers to make this stuff work instead of having to figure out workarounds like this one, which might as well be greek? No offense intended as I am appreciative of your efforts javis, just a little frustrated here.
  7. Thanks fot the link carlosan, but it's sort of useless because there is no explanation of how to make anything work. Were these 'smart' materials designed to be used outside of 3dc? If so, why would the programmers release this new version of 3dc knowing that the wonderful texture maps would be useless in other 3d apps like modo? We shouldn't have to use workarounds to get this to work, it ought to be workinig right out of the box... I bought my upgrade thinking the textures I painted would be useful in Modo....
  8. Thr color map shows the paint texture, and the specular color map shows the metal colors I paint. For some reason they are not on the same map and I can't figure out how to make the maps all work together in Modo... Color map: Specular map:
  9. When I export the textures from my current project, the metallic textures are all black. They look nothing like they do in 3dc. On the uv islands where there shouild be the metal textures I painted there is nothing but black. What's wrong? any ideas?
  10. Hello all. I have been seeing that people sculpt something, then retopologize the model. I do not understand the reason and process in which it is done. Can someone point me to a tutorial that explains the reason and process? I have not sculpted anything yet. I plan to import future models I make in Modo in order to add details via sculpting, and want to know if retopology is needed for that? Thanks
  11. When I paint a color onto my mesh, if I paint over a portion that I've already painted the color gets stronger every time I go over it again. I don't want that to happen. I paint a section, then want to define the edges with a softer stroke. When I do that, the color gets stronger every time a new stroke overlaps. How can I fix that? Thanks, Chris.
  12. I made a displacement map in ZBrush, and now, I want to import it into 3dc and apply it to my mesh so I can begin painting textures. I have no idea how to do that. Can anyone help?
