  1. lets give Andrew a little bit to get the new radial symmetry finished than we can start talking about this it seems link a great idea but very complicated I would like to see it But I wouldn't count on it this year only cause Andrew just implemented radial symmetry (thanks in part to me ) a actually wanted him to do it your way but it must be too hard or something

Andrew you are one of the coolest people I ever met a model of true democracy a man of the people I admire the way you allow users to help build your program I think this is one of the greatest business models known to man I had a copy of z brush that I bought before you had transparency fixed but the did not really have transparency it was kind of a lie it was fake also there rigid polygon system crashed a lot even on my twelve core 24 GB ram beast I nicknamed Bessy the buffalo soldier (from the song) also zbrush claimed to have radial symmetry and I bought it before i tried it out only to find out it only had the spiral type radial symmetry and not the other kind that is also reflected I will not be updating zbrush It is stupid in my opinion to do so. if I want to play with polygons I will use blender like I always have and for voxels surface mode and re-topology there's the amazing one and only magical 3d-coat
  6. symmetry features are unfortunately one of the most ignored things in 3d art as a fractal artist I play with all kinds of symmetry in the 2d plain I would think 3d programs would have every kind of symmetry imaginable but hay that's what feature requests and voting is for right guys
  7. how bout you also attach a transform handle to the symmetry plains so we can move them thing's around were there needed
  8. good point however they don't look particularity special they just make it so you never have to make new shaders if you rather focus on art these shaders range from matte to glossy and there are a few designed to look like glass there is nothing fancy i designed them so you can apply them and then use individual object shader settings to add the finishing touches they are not texture shaders i don't use those i rather paint my objects so they are easier to control

    your welcome I worked very hard to push Andrew to develop transparency I am glad to see other people happy about it

    also to make full use you'll want to do a composite made with one image with transparent materials hidden and one with them shown than over lay the two. first make sure transparent rendering is turned on you can use Photoshop or gimp to composite the layer with the transparent objects hidden should be on the bottom this by composting you eliminate another annoying bug witch is solid stuff behinde the object not showing up sometimes

    OK hears the secret as of the newest beta Andrew fixed the issue with transparent shading now when you press render all faces are sorted
