  1. Hello,Polyhertz. The version 1.8f can import vray material into 3dsmax2017, also the texture slot is same with 3d-coat export, but all textures haven't imported, please watch the images below, also the reflect slot auto added a falloff. Thanks.

I installed 1.9a in 3dsmax 2017, then follow the instruction create a VRayMtl material preset and assign to the model, put color.jpg and gloss.jpg into the map slot, before export to 3dcoat I set the Material Preset to VRayMtl-Fresnel.mat in 3DC AppLink, after painted somthing on model in 3d-coat, I export textures use v-ray standard GGX presets. But after import into 3dsmax, the material is standard , not VRayMtl, where is my wrong? Thanks.

  4. Hi, in version 4.5.02 there still has same bug. In Smart Materials if select a material to edit , after click cancel, this material will disappear....
  5. The RC1 and beta 20 have a big bug, if you select any PBR material, open it and don't edit anything then click cancel, this material will auto lost, I have losted some materials by this bug ! please watch the images.
  6. same here, a lot of bugs in beta 14, I would return to use beta 13 or 12, if import fbx file , then click cancel, 3dcoat will crash.
  7. Hello, it can run in 801 sp3 but has some errors, 3d coat can't export normal map into 801. In 801 if click "import from 3d coat", there will bump a menu shows error information, I'm using 3d coat v4.5.
  8. hi, version 4.5 export PBR to unity 5, if use Gloss/specular work flow there save texture to png format havn't problem, glossness map is in alpha channel. But if change work flow to Gloss/metalness, I can't find glossness map in alpha channel with same png format, metalness has a single texture, glossness has another single texture, how to solve this problem? Thanks.
  9. Hi, I have created a new layer and give it 110,110,110 gray, then turn it to "use as specular color". after do this, the glossiness map will become full white and lost all glossiness, is it a bug or my mistake? Thank you.
  10. Hi, I would like to know where can I define the specular RGB or value in PBR for unity? Seems there only has Gloss Intensity, thanks.

  12. Hi, I would like to know how to define texture map's name from export? For example the specular name, if 'export objects & textures', it will automatic create name for "object_UVChannel_1_specular_color", but I only want it be "object_spec", how to do this? Thank you very much!
  13. Ok, thank you Malo. I have repainted, the result is same with 3d-coat, the color information is stored in specular map, the glossy map only store reflection/blur information so it's black/gray/white.
  14. I think vray support the textures and alpha, then after export the textures and use vray material the result will be same. Yes Vray support glossy and specular etc. And I use orange color painted the surface, but after export glossy map still havn't color information.
  15. But they are all default 3d-coat PBR metal material, I havn't adjusted anything for those.

  17. Hi, I'm using 4.5 beta11 create a small test for teapot in 3dsmax and vray 3.0, the test is look for material feeling. The result for metal in 3d-coat is good, but lost metal color in diffuse map after export. How do you think about?
  18. Hello, I want to know how to adjust brush spacing, I didn't find out the tool that to change the spacing value in paint and sculpt brush. In mudbox there the brush has a ''stamp spacing'' to adjust the stamp image's distance, but where is the function in 3d-coat ? thanks.
