  1. Hi all, Working through the features of the software slowly... most things are pretty intuitive and the documentation is clear. However when exporting a retopo object from the paint room the export pop up gives me the option of a mid poly or a low poly export. What is the process if i want to export the painted retopo object as is? I must be missing something............. On a more general note has anyone got any tips for optimising performance on low powered hardware. I notice voxels take a hit and surfaces fare surprisingly well but is there anything else i need to look out for? Anyway here is a quick sketch. Fun getting a feel for the sculpt tools. Regards.
  2. I got a bit of time to work on some finer detail.. a few brackets pipes cogs springs e.t.c. and a steam whistle. .
  3. Thanks Tony. The plan is for a translucent fabric with some insect wing like irridescence to fill the holes in the wing. i will see how it goes....
  4. Sweet shapes! The basic forms are really strong. Looking forward to the progress.
  5. Working on some basic leg shapes. I shall pose them later. I think i will put the vehicle in a workshop setting as if it is just completing construction, final testing.
  6. Thanks peoples. yeah i will see what happens.....messing around in the voxel booleans / sculpting for the wings and a look at the retopo room. A very quick approach to make these sort of forms. I like. and a copper boiler test getting the smart materials into the renderer.... need to mess around more and watch a couple more vids. Onwards!
  7. I've just downloaded the trial........ i'm new to this kind of application but not to 3d. Here is a block out of a vehicle it's going to be a test for me while i mess around in 3d coat checking out its features Should be fun.
