  1. Skeeter is finished! Magic created with 3D Coat! And Rendered with Redshift in Houdini
  2. Trying to install the GM_Skin_S_1.3dcpack. I install the extension, and it appears in the smart materials. But when trying to use the preview or apply anything. Nothing happens. Did I do something wrong installing them? Never mind. Now they are working I don't know what changed in the equation, but that is good :/
  3. YES ! That worked ! I exported the object that way and kept the paint layers and it worked! however, interesting enough. One of the already existing objects geometry exploded when that object was imported. I resolved it by exporting the object and re importing it after importing the other object ! But that looks like a glitch to me. Thanx for the help
  4. I have had this problem several times and I don't know if I am doing something wrong. But sometimes I like to open a new project file and create some geometry and paint it via vertex colors. and when the object is ready import it into the main .3b file with the larger scene, keeping the paint layers. But several times I have noticed that the paint layers don't all show up after import. On this occasion turning one of the layers off and on, fixed that one layer, but didn't for the rest leading to me believe that their is a glitch in the code on import like this. However I am not sure it is a setting that is conflicting with the geometry. Which could be possible. If anyone knows what this could be or it is a glitch, it would be very helpful
  5. Yes, that seemed to have solved the problem! Thank you! I noticed it still isn't fixed in the paint fill, fill /w freeze. But I don't need that as long as the other one works.

  7. I can't seem to get any of them to work correctly to be honest. also, in the Fill Tool, Fill w/ Freeze, seems to not work as well with those selections
  8. I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the paint freeze tool working with cavity on. The preview seem to show the mask fine, but does not work seems to be ok when it is set to always, but any other condition does not seem to paint the freeze mask. Any help is appreciated
  9. I am just learning 3D coat and I really love the software. But in my first sculpt I ran into an issue by sculpting an object, retopoing it. Painting it, and then realizing I need to add more sculpting. So what I am trying to figure out now that the textures are done and need to add more sculpting is there a way I can transfer the existing painting or texture maps back to the sculpting geometry in vertex color so that I can sculpt, then redo the retopology of the new mesh and still retain my painting. This is something I did all the time in zbrush where I would modify the textures in 3rd party programs and then apply the texture back to the vertex color. Hindsite: my workflow from now on will be to sculpt and paint with vertex color, and retopo last when ready for export. Advice on this would be very helpful.
