  1. Im rolling back to 2023.16, 2024.07 is crushing, , same thing, freezing and shortly after crushing only when Im using rectangle and vertex lasso stroke mode with vox hide and sphere tool, not sure what else I could do

  3. Oleg_Shapo - problem with my file ? you mean the .3b project file Im working on ? (if I understand You correctly then no, Im experiencing this glitches non stop, since the release of 2023.27) and I was always checking every next version with multiply projects I was working on, and I was always rolling back to 2023.16... maybe my file as in installed 3dcoat files are corrupted ? I alredy tried to do a fresh install as AbnRanger suggested, but no luck, maybe I should completely clean every trace of 3dcoat on my system in windows registry ?

(Bare in mind that when Im using 2d paint tool with brushes stroke mode, there are no crashes !, its only happening with rectangular/N-gon stroke mode, and when Im using numbers on my keyboard, maybe hotkey file is corrupted ? (Im attaching it in this post)...   5. ok I will record the screen and repeat the process leading to a crash, (I cant send you crash report becouse it just closes without any window pop-up, or freezes for a long long time)
  6. I have alredy try all the versions above 2023.16, the last stable version for me is .16

Hi guys, so Im writing this message because after 2023.16 version Im experiencing constant crushes and freezes, but its only happening when Im using: Sphere tool, with Voxel Hide and Split (crushes occur only when Im using my keyboard shortcuts (I have set Z,X,C,V,B,A for strokes modes (rectangular, Ngon, Sphere, Curves, and so on, and 1,2,3,4 for move, sphere, vox hide, split etc....) Im using 3dcoat with this worklfow for a pretty long time, so Im quite fast with this, so the faster I press those keyboardshortcuts the faster the crushes occur.... another "but" - when Im using different workflows (for example only painting with 2d paint tool and primitves tool - its fine, no crushes at all) .... another thing sometimes 3dcoat freezes in a way that it wont let me choose different tool or different stroke mode with keyboardshortcut, but I can open a menu and choose it, then it unfreezes, (so only 2023.16 version is stable for me, I was waiting for the bug to disapper with newest version but it just didn't happen, and now I could really take advantage of a live boolean tool ) cheers ! and thanks for assistance

I`ve figured it out, (when I have pick point & forward direction its working nicely, based on the viewing angle) - when Im using (pick point & direction (local)) - this is when the angles are going crazy, but it is usefull to draw on a angled surface, (cased closed xD).... btw can I mark my questions as solved ? if yes then how, where

Hi, I`ve probably messed something up xD, until now the 2d paint tool was behaving exactly like the sphere tool is behaving on the beginning of the video Im attaching, it was drawing based on a camera view angle, and now it just picks an angle and I cannot force it to draw at an angle Im viewing, (unless I`ll pick plane defined before painting, and I start drawing over the shape, (like in the end of the video), any ideas ? 2d paint.mp4

  11. it stopped crashing, now its only freezing for a moment when Im changing tools often (when Im pressing keyboard shortcuts really fast) I`ll try to record the video with this, but for now Im working on a .16 version
  12. ok I`ll try thanks (I didnt sent any crash report, 3dcoat just turns off without any warning no crash reoport nothing) .... just installed .29 version lets see how it goes
  13. Im on windows, (My 3dcoat isnt creating any data on Onedrive directory) and that second workaround about second monitor, my 3dcoat is launching on primary monitor (which is Huion 24 kamvas) shall I try to install .29 version from that link You have sent Carlosan ? (not from updates manager ?)
  14. Hi guys, so all 3 new stable versions (.27 to .29) are crashing and / or freezing for me, it often freezes when Im changing drawing modes (for example from rectangle to ngon) the .16 version is the last one I can use, is this something the developers are aware off ? or is this just me ?
  15. cool, but how ? when I decimate it again in the sculpt room, then the decimation amount I type in is added to previously decimated mesh, and I have another question, so I decimated this guy : I noticed in Unreal Engine that the "TopPart_TheGun" looks terrible, so I want to try to add polygons there, can I do it without the need of baking entire mesh again ? can I keep previously created 8k texture ? while adding mesh density in that specific part only ? EDIT: ok I need to seriously start learning retopo room if I want to do my sketch renders and some simple animations in UE xD previous sketch render I had, the orange part looked good, but the top metal part looked like shit xD I`ve added mesh density to entire model, top part is looking better but the orange part looks worse than it was xDD, (You guys alredy tought me why - its too dense for the smooth surface with normal map) so I need to figure out a way to do one polygroup lower, and another more dense, how can I do that with only one texture file?) EDIT 2: ok I`ve figured it out, I know how to decimate it one by one, xD lol it was super easy, so one question remains, how to decimate even lower inside retopo room?
  16. If I have a model of 118 millions in voxels, haw I can go lower than 99.9% (118k) with retopo via decimation (since some time I cannot go lower than 99.9%) even if I manually type in lets say 60k polygons under the percentages) do I need to reduce it manually in voxels?
  17. Yes I`ve alredy try that, this issue isn`t happening so often when Im working on one model in 3dcoat, (one centered project with few Sculpt Tree Layers), but if Im working on few models this is issue is repeating always (during resample and To Uniform or Global space)

Hi, I have question, so, in my workflow I constantly use resample and "To Global Space" feature but the problem is when I do that Symmetry will always mess up (mesh will always loose its symmetry "origin point") - and then I always need to Click "pick from bounding box" it has been so long with this glitch that Im just using keyboard short cut for (pick from bounding box), (( screenshot below )), anyone else experiencing this glitch ?
  19. that`s weird, they do change size for me, maybe you have made the bar wider by grabbing its edge, try grabbing the edge and move it left :), and other thing You can do is reset page (or pages) to default,
  20. if You are texturing for example midpoly mesh, You can use an alpha brush with your smart materials, or maybe you`ll be interested in Volumetric painting, maybe You could carve the snow out, check out this guy for more info : https://www.youtube.com/@industrytuts5272
  21. by pressing that "T" icon on top (next to a brush stroke) You can cycle through different sizes and look of that toolbar
