  1. It is Oki, Andrew, I found a way... Ckeck my own "bugslife" thread please, I do there a new reply... P
  2. no, I'm an polygon lover :-). I'm not an artist, a worker yes, artist no :-). I must try it as well, but now it is out of my range :-)... I did basic shape in C4D, sculpt in 3DC, I improved a UV in C4D (updated) and export low poly (smoothed) and displace map. Voila, here is a resoult.... P
  3. here is a first test of imported low poly + displace map in C4D P
  4. Hello looks pretty nice but it is strange a bit, I mean. Why? You are between two ideas. Your character has not a lizard hands and foots - they come from monkey for me. It would be better if you hold your idea with "lizard shapes"... P PS: I have two lizards as a pets :-) something for inspiration :-)
  5. Hello I lost my sculpt - it is a new new one version :-) THX Andrew for support. Here is a time for texturing and others... Cheers P
  6. A tablet problem hello Andrew, there is a tablet problem. There does not work an Intuos 3 in Open GL 64 mode in current version. I had same problem in R46. IN older 45 on other without problem. GL 32 works nice. System XP 64 Cheers P
  7. Deleting/export - you speak about volumetric tools I suppose not standard imported models (deleting UV of deleted mesh etc....) Am I right? Cheers P
  8. Hello here is a short tutorial how can you use 3DC retopo tools for a cloths making Speaking is czech only, but easy to follow (app language is EN) I hope you like it, cheers Pavel here is a link: http://www.c4dexchange.com/en/detail.aspx?did=341 Warning: a login is needed, but it is free!
  9. haha it is, but you know I´m waiting for a new UV mesh import/export filters  he was my inspiration - but I want to do more "arabic" character... Do you know somebody a system of his head cover? THX P
  10. hello this is my last 3DC test - basic mesh C4D > other 3DC Cheers Pavel
  11. Hello everybody Yeah I know, Andrew is really very busy now - he works on new releases and Moscow presentation, but I still miss few minor, but still very important features and maybe would be great add them to release 3 funcionality... And maybe you know about others, too... Second and third we found together with Andrew. 1) Open pick color window > IMG tab > some tools don´t working 2) You have few models in your scene and you delete one from them > You delete an object´s material as well, but scene still contains UV map of deleted object! 3) Import UV/Export UV for an object via "object manager" > there is not necessery export whole scene in many cases > this feature could solve problems with improt export UV´s with C4D (via OBJ format - there are problems with complex scenes, works nice with one object, but more objects do problems) 4) "UV Points welding" in textures preview Have a nice day, Pavel
  12. Hello maybe I'm wrong but normal maps are correctly (from 3DC - there is an other matter - if you heavy change your mesh you must export obj, update UV and import it back to 3DC and use on your source object same UV) and normal maps and bump maps are absolutlly same in rendering times P
  13. hello everyone I reworked whole body - without textures yet! TH Pavel
  14. hello everyone here is a little videotutorial how to connect C4D with 3D-Coat. there are next steps: 1) C4D model preparation - UV correction, model correction, export 2) 3DC model import - comparation with C4D structure 3) 3DC - SPD export 4) C4D SPDs import, deleting "suporting" polygons 5) C4D rendering, voila - amazing sculpt in C4D! Cheers Pavel A link download.digitalmedia.cz/tutorials/cinema4d/en/C4D-3DC.zip Camtasia codec needed! You can find it on www.techsmith.com Pls keep this tutorial on this forum only - it belongs to our new C4D stuff server and this server does nto work yet...

  16. I will upload here my expirience how to get correctly result with 3DC-C4D, I don´t have a time for deeper playing with 3DC now - you now, C4D R11 is out and I must do a support - articles and much more... How to get nice resoults: Import: if you need to import more than 1 object - use different material for each of them, becouse 3DC remembers these materials in obj format and specify UV of each object to defined material. If you use one material for all, there will be a problem, becouse SPD will be generated to one texture (one material) for all objects and you will have problems with UV updates etc! Don´t forget on that! I usually use standard C4D obj exporter, works fine at me. Cheers P
  17. haha, thx guys, but my wife does not like that and she has right, legins are not good and I will rework a first kilt and legins, too P
  18. a little question, did you use LWO format? I had strange expirience with spd on model generated by LWO, too - it is really strange, but if I use obj, it worked correctly
  19. Hello I don´t have a problem with generated displacement but remember there is more way how to get correctly displ. map... I usually use easer HN way with higher HN render subdivision, it is easer and I get correctly results P I want to do some tutorials, but I wait for a final release
  20. THX You are right, but as I said before I hope I will have a time for part of body and Head will be height mx 300-350 points and there will be not a chance for super hifh res details :-) THX! Pavel
  21. a little update in textures/materials (mouth for example)
  22. One from Italians Constantinople defenders pipeline C4D - base mesh, UV 3D-Coat for sculpting, texturing - full hand made, without photo sources PSD-little textures adjusting BP3D-some pores adding Hair module C4D/GI rendering PSD for finlatouch not finished yet :-) Cheers Pavel
  23. You are right a problem is in a feeling. Wanted I do "a stone turn to life", or man turn to "stone" with plaster powder? I wanted to achieve a second one... It is a still wip, I want to finished it but I must reinstal f*cking Win Vista64 back to WinXP this week... THX, P
