  1. My download speed only several KB/S,It would take serveral hours to download RC86,can somebody provide another download link of RC86(cuda),thank you very much!
  2. I make a terra in 3dc,then export the highmap to photoshop to save as raw file,I import the highmap in unity3d ,the result is perfect! But in 3dc it looks very rough,in unity3d is smooth and perfect.I never change anything. perhaps the display performance of the depth map has some problem in 3dc.
  3. Andrew,I think I got what I want! I study the plane tool carefully,you have made it!but I need a little improve.the plane tool has three plane mode:make planar,cut off,fill mode.and the normal source has two type:first click point,current position.I want high source but not normal source!Let me explain what I need:I want sample the high value of the first click point(the intensity of the gray-scale map),then to cut off the higher,or fill the lower,or do the both(make planaer)! so please add another sample source mode:high value,so there will be two sample source mode:normal and high value!sample the hight value can make horizontal plane,and sample normal can make slanting plane!Now I use the sample normal,I can't make horizontal plane!

No,Andrew,it is't what I exactly want ,when I test the image-based sculpt for terra make,first I sculpt a mountain,then I want to make a plane of the mountainside.I want to use "V" to pick a depth value of the half-way of the mountain,the plane want to reduce the higher and raises the lower,but I can't do that! I want to make a plane on the half way of a rough mountain,How can I do that?
  6. Geat!Andrew has add "V" key to pick depth! I really long him can add "overwirte depth" mode to depth layer blend mode! and add ramp function to "faltten tool"!

  8. It is simple,just pick the gray value,because the hightmap use gray value of color to raise or low the mesh.

  10. Please improve the image-based sculpt as a terra editor! Andrew,those days I tested the image-based sculpt as a terra editor for unity3d,because the terra editor of this game engine is weak.I found the image-based sculpt of 3dc is really powerfull,why not improve the image-based sculpt as a terra editor? It will be a another hot sales point of 3dc,all the features of terra editor almost exist,it would be only cost you one day or several hours to improve it. I tested it deeply,my workflow is: 1)use "file"->"import image plane",set the mesh resolution as 1024*1024 or 2048*2048. 2)sculpt and export the depth map as a tif file. 3)import it to photoshop and export it as a raw file,because unity3d use raw file type as highmap. so my advise is: 1)there should has a file command "terra editor" to tell 3dc users 3dc has terra edit function. 2)support raw file type export. 3)there should has a hot key to pick depth value just like "v" to pick color. 4)In the layer depth blend mode,there are "add depth","subtract depth","choose maximum depth","magnify depth" and "suppress depth".Please add "absolute depth" or "overwrite depth" blend mode,this mode can overwrite the depth of below layer,so we can pick a depth value then use it to make a horizontal plane. 5)I know there has a tool "make planar",it is hard to make a horizontal plane,but I use it to make ramp!Use "make planar" tool and in "draw with line" or "draw with curve" mode,we can make ramp.But we really need a true ramp tool to make curved ramp. 6)please sync the depth map layer with photoshop,now 3dc can't do it! 7)In order to make the terra editor looks more professional,please closed the edges faces.(please have a look at the attached pic.) Andrew,3dc is a game texture maker and sculpting app,it is strange there has not a terra editor,even it truely has all the function and features.So please tell the users,and improve it a bit.If it will be done,I will do some tutorials,but my english is sooooooo poor! :clapping:

  19. OK,OK!my god,my bad english,my fault! The left seperate toolOption window is from current UI design,but I don't like it ,I think the work area should be clean.It is not a bug,but a request! the right toolOption window is what I think it should be(it is PSed.),I only think the toolOption window should be docked on left or right,not in the work area!
  20. I mean cancel and remove the seperate toolOption window on the left,and keep it docking on the right side. A seperate windows in the work area is really annoying! I think the work area should be as clean as possible
  21. Andrew,please remove and rearrage those seperate windows(tool option windows) as possible,I really don't like them!
  22. Have tested the new UI(alpha 78),I have to say,I don't like the current design,Andrew,I really hate those individual window,so please follow Sonk's design, We need integated tool option,not a individual window.the current design is more space wasted and seems unprofessional.
