This bug has been reported before, but since I use the BaseBrush almost exclusively now, I hope this gets fixed. The issue is that when Buildup is enabled for the Clay brush, the stroke becomes uncontrollable as if the effect is too extreme. This problem is more noticeable when using higher depth settings and when the mesh surface is at an angle to the camera. The buildup effect also seems to extrude in the direction of the camera and is not based on the vertex normals like Clays default behavior.

I recently started to notice a problem with the alpha rotation on brushstrokes in the Sculpt room. I mainly use the Surface and BaseBrush, so I can' t say if this applies to the Voxel brushes as well. It occurs randomly, about 25% of the time. I increased the spacing to make it easier to see the alpha rotation.

Thank you for fixing the bugs I posted about regarding the BaseBrush. So much nicer to use now. I think I found 2 other issues: 1. BaseBrush>Add brush modifier>Clay Brush>CTRL Action>Copy settings from Regular = the Degree parameter won't convert to a negative number 2. BaseBrush>Add brush modifier>Vertex Normal Extrude (I haven't tested all the modifiers, but the few I did test had the same problem)>Adjust Depth Curve>CTRL Action>Copy settings from Regular>Press Ok>Test brush by pressing CTRL and drawing on object = Crash I sent in the bug report. Edit: I just got an undelivered mail message, so you may not have received my Bug report: Unauthenticated email from yahoo.com is not accepted due to domain's 550-5.7.26 DMARC policy

BaseBrush: I'm having some issues with the Curve controls that affect depth. 1. The command to "Copy settings from the Regular" doesn't transfer a custom depth curve. 2. I can't get my custom depth curves to stick on any of my BaseBrush presets. I reinstalled 4.9.20 and it still is a problem. "Update Preset" also doesn't work .

I use the Enter key to resample my mesh in Surface mode. When "Remove Stretching" is enabled on the Surface brushes, I noticed that I would get mesh corruption when undo is used. I haven't seen this problem when the Resample command is used, but I find it easier to just hit the Enter key if I want to remesh my object. Not sure what the difference is between the 2 functions or why we have 2 commands that do basically the same thing.

4.9.08 1. The Update Preset command doesn't seem to work with the depth and radius brush curves in the Sculpting Room. 2. 3DC doesn't remember my Preset window settings from the previous session. Even if I "Clear All" my presets, then load in a new set, then shut down. The next time I open up 3DC, I have an old set of presets in the Preset window and not the ones that were there when I shut down, previously. The only way to fix this is to manually delete the presets in my Documents/3D-CoatV49/Presets folder before I open 3DC.

Some of these suggestions sound really good, and I'm not a developer, but is it possible that performance could be negatively affected by these changes? Also, how difficult would it be and how long would it take to implement these new features? One thing Andrew needs to think about is, if Blender continues to improve it's sculpting and painting abilities, how he can differentiate 3D-Coat from Blender. Maybe by better performance, or cleaner, easier to use UI?
