Member thewolfen Posted September 13, 2008 Member Report Share Posted September 13, 2008 Hi all, sorry if this has been covered. Can you import a normal map(say from crazybump or something like that), then smooth it relative to some value on the normal map(say the default 0 value?) I tried doing this several ways in 3d coat without too much success. I was able to write into it of course, add to it, and smooth 3d coat's normal map, but the underlying imported normal map seemed to stay unaffected?- any ideas what i am doing wrong? thanks

Of course it will be smoothed like usual color map, so be careful on seams.
