"export depth along y" on painted mesh

Is there a way i can bake good quality depth like the "export depth along y" in sculpt room, but for a mesh in the paint-room or a reference mesh.

Aha, i found the "bake texture" function in the retopo drop-down menu produces good heightmaps, however it does not bake backfaces. I have backface culling off in view tab, but the back-faces of the high-poly mesh are not baked into any of the texturemaps.

It is for foliage; how can i make it bake backfaces?
