New Member luckie12 Posted September 27, 2015 New Member Report Share Posted September 27, 2015 Hi! Im new to 3D Coat, and i used it for making Skins for a game, now my question is: When i use 3DCoat and press Edit > Edit in Ext program It opens in photoshop, the way i angled the camera, thats fine! But if i edit one side of the gun it also projects on the other side because i selected Project Through, But how can i edit the view of the side like, the front of the gun, like you watch into the barrel. Is that possible without mixing the images? Thanks!
Contributor Malo Posted September 30, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted September 30, 2015 Why did you not stay in 3d coat and paint your stuff there? Anyway, i have no solution for you.
PolyHertz
Are you asking how to paint the inside of the barrel? Malo: Projection paint can be much more efficient in certain cases, its one of 3DCoats better features imo. Actually I wish there was an optional way to do it directly in the viewport as well (like in Bodypaint).
Contributor Malo Posted September 30, 2015 Contributor Report Share Posted September 30, 2015 (edited) Not sure if i understand you correctly, but you could do that without problems. Switch to Ortographic view, put some images into a Smartmaterial and use From Camera as projection type instead of cubemapping. Thats all. And you could still move, scale and rotate your image. New Member luckie12 Posted September 30, 2015 Author New Member Report Share Posted September 30, 2015 I think that painting in Photoshop is more like exact painting at lines and such. I dont mean to paint the inside barrel :p Heres a pic of what i mean: Like the side of a magazine, i can only see this in photoshop:
