Member Richard Hebert Posted August 23, 2018 Member Report Share Posted August 23, 2018 Hi everyone, kinda new to the program even though I've had it awhile. I want to texture a poly heavy model that contains about 150 materials. I'm trying to get the program to place each material in its own UV map. Right now it's cramming all geometry into a single UV map. Anyone care to guide a complete Noob to Shangri-La on this topic? Every tut I'm seeing has a simple model using a single map. If you have a link to a tut that gets me there, I'll take that also!

Member Richard Hebert Posted August 25, 2018 Author Member Report Share Posted August 25, 2018 This is a great tut but it doesn't show the maps. Can the software place each material in its own map automatically upon import?
Carlosan
At import, switch on the option Treat materials as separate textures. Check windows > Paint objects and Surface materials UVroom, check if there is one uv-set by object. Hope this help.
Member Richard Hebert Posted August 25, 2018 Author Member Report Share Posted August 25, 2018 Thanks, didn't notice the 'keep UV' setting. That makes the difference.
