Member CTMachinerySystems Posted June 30, 2021 Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) Under: Sculpt, Primitives, Gear, "Relative Hole Radius" WTH? Confusing... Why Not Simply Denote, (Actual Radius)? Anyone? Please advise... Thanks! CT Edited June 30, 2021 by CTMachinerySystems
Member CTMachinerySystems Posted June 30, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted June 30, 2021 (edited) I just simply need to set the (Actual Inner Hole Radius) to 1.165mm to fit a shaft for a friction fit. However when I specify this, it inverts the gear into an inner ring gear, not good. Must be a simple equation to convert (Relative Hole Radius) into (Actual Inside Hole Radius)? I am lost here... I searched everywhere... Can anyone please explain this? Thanks... CT Edited June 30, 2021 by CTMachinerySystems
Carlosan
Take this as workaround, it is not the best solution... I create a simple tube using this settings as reference size (on one layer) The adding a gear using the reference tube as inner hole measure (on another new surface layer) This the result For better support please drop a line asking for this request at andrewshpagin@gmail.com Thanks gear.3b
Member CTMachinerySystems Posted July 2, 2021 Author Member Report Share Posted July 2, 2021 That's a creative method... This zeros me in on it, then I will adjust as needed... Thank you! Best regards, CT
