Member julos Posted June 12, 2009 Member Report Share Posted June 12, 2009 Hello everyone, I just bought 3D coat and it seems like a very powerful app, I'm enjoying it so far so well done to the team ! The problem I have is that I don't know what approach to take generally, it would be great to see someone start a sculpt with voxels, then retopo and uv it, then paint it, then export it. Something simple would do, and it would help us newbies a lot. That would be very useful, because right now it's a bit hard to know where to click etc... Yes, this is something that is badly needed. 3DCoat is a mystery as there is no complete documented workflow as far as I can tell.
Javis
That is the general workflow, really. If you're creating content from within 3DC first. I usually go: 3DC: Voxel sculpt Retopo/Basic UVs Lightwave: UVs 3DC: Texture work Poly sculpt more details If I'm coming from another package already, then I just import into 3DC and do the last two steps (Texture/polysculpt).
