Member michaelws Posted January 29, 2023 Member Report Share Posted January 29, 2023 I have seen YouTube videos of peopel painting in 3D Coat and they have a brush that seems to start out with the selected color but then fades in to the underlying color. I have tried multiple ways to adjust the settings, copying what I see in the video of their settings but I cannot seem to get the brush to fade into the underlying color completely as they seem to be able to. I have played with my Wacom Pressure settings but still it does not get the result I am looking for. Right now I use the Brush and then switch to the Power-Smooth brush to get the result but that is not ideal. I would like to be able to sort of mix the colors with a single brush, paint and then mix without lifting the brush and resetting it onto the canvas. Are there any good tutorials on brush settings? Thanks so much for any help on this.

Member michaelws Posted January 30, 2023 Author Member Report Share Posted January 30, 2023 I'm not certain Carlosan as I am not well versed in 3D Coat. When I see the word "tapering" I think of a line getting thicker and thinner, depending on pen pressure. Is this curve editor related to opacity or blending? If so then yes. And if so how do I access the curve editor window? Thanks so much for the reply
