Member xsinick Posted May 31, 2011 Member Report Share Posted May 31, 2011 Hello all just starting to learn 3d coat I personally would like this complex program made simple like sculptris and just as responsive behavior wise. The retopo tool is the star of this application thus far. Any ways let the sculpting begin.

Advanced Member Spiraloid Posted June 1, 2011 Advanced Member Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 Does anyone know how to make a desktop link to 3d coat on ubuntu ? I don't have a linux box, but I believe you could type something like this into your terminal to make one: cd /user/<your user name here>/desktop ln -s 3dcoat /<path to 3dcoat here>
Member xsinick Posted June 1, 2011 Author Member Report Share Posted June 1, 2011 Bay thanks a lot for the tip and have fun on your projects. Dude you should check out darkstep music it's like high-energy street fighter 3 music. I don't like the way 3D Coat brushes behave. The truth shall set you free. Please you guys check out Sculptris. Right click should invert a brush. Holding the ctrl button is not easy. The screen shots with the girl is a blender > sculptris model ( you can get that model free: Free Model Download). The allure of 3d coat is that it could allow you to do models from scratch with in it from head to toe. I think adaptive tessellation might be the way to go. But hey, I'll just keep trucking on. I wish the user can make a shelf of tools so he / she can ignore the zany ones... Ok that's it for complaining back to 3D Coating...
