worn edges question

I don't think so, as a tool/option that would be a great feature for textures in 3DC though. The website has some other useful articles like Ambient Occlusion Rust which could also be useful as options.

agreed. hope creased edges gets added into the fill modulation tools soon.

With freeze tool, works on flat areas. But how can I use a cavity mask? Or even a mask based on baked AO maps? Something like 'mask with density' or 'mask with cavity' ...

seems like the freeze tool really needs a paint on creased edges option

Or maybe a new dialog with a few sliders so you can control the amount of decay and the max distance from the edge etc. Then it just automatically does the textures/maps ready to use.

Another useful thing would be a way to auto snap/follow the strongest edges so you can paint the edge details, that could be useful with voxels etc also. I haven't seen that done before though but i am guessing it's possible.

Maybe this should go in the feature requests area or on mantis so it does not get forgotten. :)
