vector as uv texture?

No as I know there is no possibility to use a vector file format for textures. At least the textures will be converted by the graphic card or there is used the dds file format to get mipmaps and compressed results. Vector textures has no sense here, at the moment. Additionally you can't project them on a surface and they would produce new points and more problems for shure.
