Advanced Member herve_bis Posted January 23, 2012 Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 23, 2012 Hello, when you search this forum, you have to enter words with no less than 3 letters... pretty bad if you are searching words like "UV" Can we reduce it to 2 letters..? Thanks h/
Psmith
How about typing "UV map"? Searching for just "UV" will turn up an undesirable number of threads, I fear. Greg Smith
Advanced Member herve_bis Posted January 24, 2012 Author Advanced Member Report Share Posted January 24, 2012 typing UV map does not work Greg... at least here from Firefox..
Psmith
Herve: I see what you mean - this is a "new" phenomenon. I did get a number of results by typing in "UVMap" - without a space. Greg Smith
Member sande Posted February 8, 2012 Member Report Share Posted February 8, 2012 For some reason search term "color" is not allowed, which is a bit strange on an art app forum...
philnolan3d
That's not a glitch, many forums do that so that the server doesn't get killed by everyone typing "the" and "of". Not to mention it just gives too many results to be useful.

You could, and should, exclude words like "the", "of" etc from search, but that is not what we are talking about. Words like "uv" (and color) may not be useful as an only search term, but that is not the point - the point is to narrow the results when coupled with other search terms.
